Replacement Steps for Remote Head Key
Remove the Screw: On the back of the key fob, locate the small screw. Use your PH0 Phillips screwdriver to unscrew and remove it
Open the Casing: Pull the back cover off the key fob to reveal the inner electronics board
Access the Battery: Remove the electronics board from the housing. There are two plastic tabs holding the board's casing together; use your fingernails to pry it open from the bottom
Remove the Old Battery: Look for the arrow indicator on the battery housing. Use a small screwdriver to pop the old CR1616 battery out in the direction of that arrow
Insert the New Battery: Slide the new battery into the housing. It works best to slide it under the two small tabs first, then snap it down under the third tab
Reassemble the Electronics Board: Snap the cover back onto the electronics board, ensuring the tabs at the top and bottom click into place
Final Assembly: Place the electronics board face down back into the key housing. Align the back cover (noting the small ledge that helps it seat correctly) and press it down
Secure the Screw: Replace the small Phillips screw and tighten it to finish
